St. Francis of Assisi, who is credited with staging the first nativity scene in 1223. He set up a manger with hay and two live animals—an ox and a donkey—in a cave in the Italian village of Grecio.
There are no animals in this version of a Nativity scene. This simple scene stands approximately 10 inches tall. Each piece is made from 3/4 inch square dowel.
As with a lot of my crafts each one is unique as they are created individually.

Murphy's Law states that “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong,”. It also states that if there are two or more ways to do anything and one of them potentially result in disaster, someone will do it. That's kind of how it is with a lot of my wood working projects. Each one is an adventure, something usually goes wrong, like the fourth of four joints messing up after the first three went together flawlessly. But, I continue moving forward. That's why I have adopted Proverbs 22:3 as the shop's theme verse: "A prudent man foresees the difficulties ahead and prepares for them...."
I truly enjoy what I get to do and I hope you will allow me to build a project for you.
